Hello all – I’m Frank Gelder and I run Boatshed Cowes from my new office in Clarence Yard East Cowes, and i'm making quite a name for myself here !!
Boat owners not only from the island come for a friendly chat about their boating needs be it selling or purchasing, and with varying budgets, all get a warm welcome from Boatshed Cowes.
As a resident on the Isle of Wight and a very keen sailor I thought that this business would be perfect for me, utilising my inter-personal and customer service skills.
My background is in organisation, management and customer service through a career in the Army followed by running my own extremely successful chauffeur business in London, bringing me into contact with people from all walks of life. I have always had a passion for the sea, both sail and motor-craft and have owned several boats over the last few years, steadily increasing in size. It was during the sale of my last boat that I became aware of the Boatshed ethos and was immediately impressed.
I aim to run an extremely tight ship at Boatshed Cowes (sorry, couldn’t resist!) and within a day of starting, I already had my first listings lined up, so I knew the demand is here. My objective is always to provide a first class experience for everyone wanting to buy or sell a boat. Boatshed is the only brokerage service to personally visit and photograph every boat that they list along with ensuring that every detail is meticulously recorded so there are no surprises.
